In our new weekly feature, we are getting out and about on the trails to meet everyday locals and find out a bit more about them and their bikes.

Locals

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

Name: Mark Webster
Age: 29
Location: Willand
Job: Web Developer
Bike: GT Force 3

How long have you been riding?
I've probably been riding about 6 years?

How often do you ride?
As often as I can really. I try and aim to get out at least every weekend.

What Bike are you currently riding and talk us through your set up?
Its A GT Force 3 and its as it came... Fairly standard really. I've not actually had it very long. I bought it when I was over in New Zealand recently and it somehow survived the flight back! I've changed the pedals, disks and pads on the brakes because the ones that came on it as standard were rubbish.

What types of riding do you normally do?
I prefer the steep and technical trails. But theres not much of that to be had around here so I guess its all trail riding.

What was the last new bit of gear on your bike?
The last thing I changed were the pedals, pads and disks and that was yesterday.

What are your local trails?
Haldon is probably about as local as it gets for me really. I quite like getting out to Woodbury common as its a little bit steeper out there.

Next upgrade planned for the bike?
In the future i am thinking about changing the wheelset on here. I've got a flatspot on the rear wheel at the moment so its about time to upgrade them!

What other bikes do you own?
I have a Felt Compulsion that was my main bike before I went to New Zealand and got the new GT.  I also have a Dawes Hardtail.
